General Packet Radio Service, or GPRS as most people probably know it, has changed the way that people use their cellular phones and surf the Internet.
GPRS is a technology that is used for the transfer of information over wireless networks, most often cellular networks. This technology allows cellular phones, PDA's and other miniature computers to access websites, e-mail and other Internet-based resources. This allows more and more people to access the Internet as there are more people that have cellular phones than computers.
The problem, however, is that many websites are not optimised to be viewed on a phone. While a user can view traditional websites on their phone, the site will often take very long to load and may be hard to navigate. This is because traditional websites are optimised for use with a desktop or a laptop and assume the user has a keyboard and mouse with which to navigate the site.
